For real. I had a somewhat sh*tty childhood, but it didn’t make me want to go out and hurt or kill people. It’s an excuse. Unless of course he his or was found to be incompetent.

STOP IT !?!?!?!?!? Negligence????? Do you really think they didn’t do all they could do to find this young girl? Why can’t it just be they missed it, or couldn’t just find it. If we use that logic, are we saying when private detectives or cold case detectives solve a case that the original detectives could not solve… Let’s just throw out there we should sue them for negligence… I’m all for holding people/officers/agencies accountable, however, lets not be careless with our assumptions and terrible questioning from the news caster when you have no basis to even ask that. How about if it was training, maybe FUNDING would help… I digress.

An en pointe & very simple way of explaining this would be to acknowledge the fact that AWP have stated they have now handed their findings back to the professionals.
I’m sure some didn’t consider LE work with what their state allows them re budget…& it doesn’t take much consideration to realise funding can be tight, especially in areas of investigating that aren’t used on the reg.
Like stating AWP could complete the investigation without the help of professionals in the many other fields cops need to be proficient in to figure out misadventure from murder.

  8. Carole Merckel says:
    August 23, 2022 at 7:46 pm

Those two ladies make an effort to learn about AWP, their process on how these searches are done before they spout off like that. Stop all the speculation. Many local law enforcement teams admit that due to lack of proper training and or funding for their equipment can hinder the search for the missing. One of Kiely’s friends said that she thought Kiely seemed too drunk to drive the last time she was seen. The autopsy will confirm this.

its much easier to find a vehicle underwater by sonar once its silted over which can take a few weeks. AWP said this is why law enforcement likely couldnt see the car earlier. Something about exposed metal reflecting the sonar, and once its covered in a layer of mud they can see a image of the car.

  18. Susie Floozie says:
    August 24, 2022 at 2:08 pm

The police didn’t find the car simply because they’re consumed with looking all over many square miles of woods and roadways. The Adventures with Purpose team has an edge because they focus on certain areas with deep water. By now, I’d say they’ve gained an instinct for pinpointing the likeliest places a car could plunge into a body of water, and in this case it led them right to the location.

True. They also intially believed it was an abduction and had many tips to go through which included people claiming she was buried on different areas .

Poor baby girl . She was tired and leaving the camp she turned the wrong way. Truckee residents know their area. At that time no lights dark . She went right out of the camp ground. Went right into the water. Tried to get out but she was upside down. Lord be with her family . May her family have peace .
