Bodycam video shows police rescuing a kidnapped child in Atlanta this week. The suspect, 38-year-old Darius White, allegedly stole a car with a 9-year-old child still in the backset. The Atlanta Police Department teamed with State and local law enforcement officers to catch this car thief and rescue the kidnapped child. Upon arrival, officers met with caller, Ms. Jerrica Moore who advised she had pulled into the parking lot of the location, where she exited her vehicle, leaving her keys and her 9-year-old son inside. Suddenly an unknown male jumped into her vehicle and sped away from the location with her child still in the car. White was charged with kidnapping, cruelty towards children, and theft.

I’m sick of seeing these criminals acting like they are the victims. Great job to all the officers who caught this guy and rescued that poor child .
@Darrin Rentruc You’re really trying to sympathize with a human trafficker. I hope you have the same fate he got in prison.
My thoughts exactly, not a care in the world for what he put that child through! Self-entitlement is cancer in our society!
@Art Vandelay DONT KNOW THE FULL STORY? IT LITERALLY SAYS DESCRITIONS OF EVERYTHING THATS HAPPENED THROUGHOUT THE VIDEO.
Stop defending criminals.
@Darrin Rentruc that’s still kidnapping…. And that child clearly didn’t know that man… if it was his dad the mom would have said so in the report what are you even saying
This cop is a dad for sure. The way he comforted the kid is exactly the way I do for my son
@operation live free And what, you have 1-2 kids? I’m around multiple kids that are close to me throughout the week a lot more than one or two, what you think I haven’t changed a diaper. took a kid to the hospital? I lived with kids lmao you don’t know anything more or special that I don’t about how to take care of a kid
@ShellZ613 Exactly! They think that having your own kids, with your genes, is the only way you’d ever know what it is to unconditionally love children.
Most of these values and feelings are instilled by good parents or adult figures in the first place. Anyone that had loving and protecting care takers growing up will likely feel the same way towards other children when they’re older.
@Ben I agree, and there are plenty of parents who had adopted children who grew to be perfectly fine parents. People just love to take too much pride in parenthood meanwhile they are the reason their kids can’t pursue their dreams because they tell them it’s unrealistic or unsafe, etc. Anyways have a good day lol I hope nobody takes too much offence to this
@L e e C e e e you were the one trying to start something 😂
@ishot2pac69 the criminal was already in the back of the car and didn’t have a weapon so no he wasn’t being reckless he was doing his job and was hella good at it
Wonderful job all around. The officer who grabbed the kid is amazing. So happy he was ok.
@love always surprised the left media didn’t do a George floyd
He really is
Was probably so happy because he was a fee seconds away from turning that car into Swiss cheese.
as a european you just wonder about this kind of “wonderful” behaviour…a) in order to comfort the kid he maybe should have stopped the sirenes as the suspect had already been arrested, or was it necessary for adding ‘drama’ to the video!? it has a surreal touch to it… b) unbelievable how harsh these cops treated that obvious inoffensive subject. that’s unnecessary violence which will harm the reputation of police even more and eventually increase disrespect towards and attacks on them.
It seems like the suspect took the car without realizing there was a child in it? And yet they treat the suspect like he’s some kind of criminal
The criminal pulling an “Y’all trying to kill me. I can’t breathe”?! Seriously. Theses cops were a lot nicer than I would’ve been to someone stealing a car with a child inside.
Exactly! He was yelling”I can’t breathe!” when they didn’t even have him pinned down. He is pathetic
@Chris G it is in today’s pathetic world.
@ayeitsjumper Incorrect, watch it again… He starts yelling I can’t breathe when he is on the ground and nobody is on him….
Imagine what the parents would have done to the SOB. I’d think police brutality would have been nice compared to the wrath of parents wanting to get their kid back.
As soon as I seen the boy, I started bawling my eyes out!😭 Poor kid..great job officers 💜
God bless that cop for calming that boy down. That’s a bond that kid will never let go. Glad everyone was safe
Maybe he’ll decide to pay it forward and become a good cop?!
The world needs more officers like this. This guy actually cared about helping a family in need.
@Bella S you care to elaborate or you gonna stick to b.s vagueness as your nothing arguement. Get familiar with the cases. And maybe learn some math, add up the amount of non issues and issues and see for yourself how small police negatively real is.
We need more like this? We need ALL of them to be like this. Shows how far corruption can go, when we ask more of what should already be.
@Jack Hyson agreed
Most officers are like that. Good thing this wasn’t in LA, SF, or NYC, the kidnapper would be released with no bail and given free money.
My heart broke when the officer hugged and held the boy. He was so shooken up and scared for his life. A child should never have to experience that.
Shaken*
Poor kid saying excuse me was heart breaking. He thought it was his fault. It’s never your fault you crossed a madman’s path
I can’t imagine how traumatized the kid was. Thank you police officers! God bless you all!
When the boy said “excuse me, I want to go now” BROKE MY HEART !! 😭😭💔 No kid should ever experience such horror! I’m so thankful for these cops
It will make him stronger for sure… thank God he was saved quickly!
He was so polite even while in shock 😭😭🥺
That entire video was so uplifting. The news always shows us everything bad that happens so this is that extra bit refreshing. Also, props to all of the police arresting him having the discipline not to start berating him once he tried to play the victim after kidnapping a kid. We need more cops with good tempers like that. Very professional.
I totally agree with you, the news does, most of the time, only show the police when one or two have done something horrible, which then makes the whole Police force look bad.
As a father of a young boy, I started tearing up after this boy was taken to safety and comforted by the officer. Great job by all involved.
i am not a father and started to tear up just seeing the care the officer had shown to the kid so i cant imagine the feeling of a parent seeing this
Same
The way that officer ran and hugged the boy 🥹🥹 He became an officer to protect and serve the people👏🏾👏🏾
“He hit us!”
Does this dude know what the parents would have done to him if they had caught him? He’s lucky the police hit them and found them before the parents did
This. Right here. In fact, even if the police did beat him up, it would be far better than what improvised methods an angry mother and father would come up with in the heat of the moment.
That’s messed up
The amount of love that officer showed that little boy is absolutely amazing 🖤
Huge respect for the police, y’all are brave men, you put yourselves in danger to save us, huge respect
Much love for the cop. Saved that kids life and there’s no greater respect in my eyes than a man saving risking his life to save another. Don’t care that it’s his job, it still counts
God bless that officer…We need more people like him in this messed up world
My daughter was just born a month ago and these kidnappings scare me so much…Seeing how scared the boy was brought me to tears
