Even these days it would pay to travel with your kids or wait until they’re mature enough to travel. I feel sad for this kid
I wondered why she was allowed to travel alone to a city so young. Very risky lifestyle.
This child gets sent to the city with $60 and a phone card? Who would think this is okay?
My kids are 10 and 7 and I won’t even let my 10yr old cross the st without me secretly watching thru whichever window I can see best out of lol.
I’d die before I sent either one ANYwhere…. but maybe the aunt didn’t feel that worry because she wasn’t her MOM.. idk..
Keep our babies close and safe!! <3
Tina yearned for that acceptance from mommy. The rejection triggered something dark & I just couldn’t imagine. RIP darling.
I think her dad’s death also played a part. Grief takes a toll for a long time.
But I’m not sure if you heard towards the end. But when an indigenous woman left a man/ marriage he got to keep the kids. She was also kicked off the land. I believe that’s what happens here. Because they say the mom reached out after his death. And the mom no longer lived on the reservation
@KillPretty the mother was a major drug addict that gave up both her daughters to Tina father. She went on to have 7 more kids afterwards a total of 8 including Tina and her sister. All while she was on drugs and partying hardcore. She was also a product of a broken home and was in foster care and was sexually abused when she was in foster. She met Tina father when she was 12yrs and he was 24yrs old. She had Tina when she was 14yrs and both were still doing drugs and partying hard through out hence why CFS was involved and took the kids. Hence Tina was screwed from day one.
@Milano Ridge This is like the most tragic life story. Just put all the pieces of the puzzle together with your comment. So sad and just heartbreaking all around. Bless the family that remains.
The officers who found her and knew she was missing but decided to let her go should’ve faced much harsher repercussions than just suspension. If they had detained/rescued her, as was their job to do, she would likely still be alive. Infuriating.
Is it normal to release someone under the age of 18 into their own custody? In the UK, until you’re 18 you get held until a parent or guardian arrives to take custody of you. If you’re sick enough to be rushed to hospital then you’d have an officer posted by your bed to make sure you don’t do a runner. I thought Canada was a better place than that. For them to know she’s a missing person on top of that, and still release her on her own. That’s pathetic.
Especially a child! They’re supposed to hold them until a guardian can come pick them up wth 🤦♀️
They didn’t let her go, they took her to a hospital for a checkup and then Took her to a hotel which is what CFS was offering kids like Tina because they don’t have enough spots in foster homes at the time. She chose to check out and headed back into the streets and was eventually found dead weeks later.
@Milano Ridge She had guardians who had reported her missing. The police are obligated to inform them, and if under 18 hold them until the guardian arrives. If the police or someone else in authority introduced my 15 year old son into the foster system without having first contacted me, there would be lawsuits filed. There are no excuses. It doesn’t matter if it’s the night she went missing or 5 years later. They didn’t do their job to the best of their ability that night. It was a missed opportunity, and it’s possible that had they done so the events would have shaken out differently.
Detained until a guardian arrives is not synonymous with putting them in a hotel they can walk right out of. If someone doesn’t do their job properly then there are repercussions. In the police if you don’t do your job properly the repercussions can be severe.
@Milano Ridge look at you trying to make excuses for law enforcement
Sorry, but I was a bit distracted at the beginning by the presenter’s earrings.
Hands.
No big deal, but it started my thoughts to wonder.
Somewhere, someone was doing something, (either trying for an idea or struck out of the blue with one ) when a eureka flash happened and they probably either muttered or exclaimed, “Hands! Let’s hang a pair of hands from people’s ears!”
What happened after that might not be very clear, but they had to have convinced others well enough to make the things.
So they made them.
That’s all cool and everything, but this lady saw them and had to have thought “Hands! I wanna hang hands from my ears!”
And here we are. A lady on TV with hands hanging from her ears.
Omg dayummm
It was the clothes that were distracting me. 😕
When I saw them, I started waving back at them..lol
@sharpless140 that’s true.
When someone have nothing to show for the attraction from audience , it’s not wrong to have an extra pair of helping hang. Lol it’s very painful to look at and that earring and I wanna poke my eyes out so I don’t have to see it anymore.
Yet another extremely sad story 😢❤️
Why is the intro so long
The adults failed Tina. Such a tragedy.
The young Girl was failed by everyone who crossed her path
All I hear is Vancouver and green Canada up until recently its actually deadlier then ongoing war in Middle East
Tina got in an adult situation, got drunk token advantage of,
Poor child 🙏🙏🙏
Poor woman There’s sick individuals and sick groups of people in this world😥
Her earrings caught me off guard, I actually started waving back at them…😐
Whos and what timestamp?
Wow, serious failure of the system there!!
Rest In Peace beloved ones may your families and friends find healing and peace
I’m not really really feeling this narrator 😬and that jacket is a little too tight …
Why didn’t the police or child services call the Aunt or a responsible adult. Unbelievable
They should have called cps to get involved. Since she was already in the system.
Did they catch the person/persons who murdered her father…JC help this family out
I am soo sorry for your loss. I had no idea this was happening. God bless you and all who have lost loved ones
My heart is utterly broken
