Summer Wells went missing from her home on June 15. An endangered child alert was issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Summer's father called 911, and an AMBER Alert was issued the next day. Authorities searched for Summer for 10 days, deploying resources from across the state and nation to search the rough terrain. The search was demobilized at the end of June, but the TBI stressed that the search wasn't over. Summer's parents started a YouTube channel and official website to gather information and tips about her disappearance. The case has been featured on several national TV shows, including Dr. Phil and In Pursuit with John Walsh.
