Kicking off this weeks video we are at Julia Davis Park. It is the oldest park in Boise Idaho encompassing 43 acres, which was donated in 1907.
The first place i went was the Boise Art Museum. They have tons of exhibits from local artists, donated artifacts from the southwest and even an exhibit for kids. I was not allowed to film inside for privacy reasons however I highly recommend going for yourself.
Next off is the Idaho State Museum. It provides tons of history about our state, the people who made it the way it is, even the Oregon Trail and the explorations of Lewis and Clarke.
The next thing you’ll find is the Idaho Black History Museum. it is housed in the St. Paul Baptist Church. Out front you will find a placard commemorating the life of Elvina Moulton.
My Favorite part of this whole video sits at the center of the park and that is the Boise zoo. Its a great place to spend an afternoon or even make a day out of it. with hundreds of animals and exhibits from all over the world its definitely going to capture your imagination for the whole time. My personal favorite exhibits are the primates and big cats. So please check them ouot and help with the conservation cause.
Throughout the entire park there is an abundance of wildlife. Most notable are going to be the geese and ducks that migrate here by the thousands in the winter.
Need a place to be in the nature and ride your bicycle or walk? The green belt in boise runs for 25 miles along the Boise river. Also available are electric scooters that you can rent all throughout the city.
One of the highlights of Boise in this day and age is the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial. With the help of the whole community and many different organizations, this was able to be constructed. Quotes from different people throughout history can be found here such as Aristotle and Ronald Reagan.
