I’m attempting to run 2,000 kilometres in 12 months while building a completely new life in Asia.
Running is the one constant I have. It keeps me grounded, gives me somewhere to find peace and has carried me through some difficult periods. Now I’m turning it into one of the biggest challenges of my year—with every kilometre logged for accountability.
Day four in Bali begins with hardly any sleep, a 5K treadmill run and a brutal strength class at Bamboo Fitness. After that, I head to Uluwatu, confront how quickly I’m spending money and explain why I chose 2,000 kilometres, what could stop me and whether all those miles could take my 19:41 5K closer to 18 minutes.
