The Niners are sitting at No. 1 in Ross Tucker’s Football Podcast Power Rankings after two dominant weeks — and Ross Tucker joins the show to break down exactly why, and what could knock them off that perch. The crew digs into the toughest hypothetical of the season so far: if the Niners had to lose one core guy for 6-8 weeks, who hurts the most? Trent Williams, Fred Warner, and Nick Bosa all get thrown into the debate, and Ross explains why “the standard” at those positions is almost impossible to replace. From there, the conversation shifts to Brock Purdy’s clinic-level start, the surprisingly seamless Mike Evans signing, and why an aging-but-savvy group of skill players might be giving Kyle Shanahan more freedom to get creative than ever before. They also get into the Christian McCaffrey workload question, a preview of what’s coming from Denver in Week 4, and a real talk moment about whether star player injuries are actually increasing — or if social media just makes it feel that way.
