Four years ago, 15-year-old Kristen Galvan ran away from home. Kristen’s mother, Robyn, claims an up-and-coming Houston rapper lured her daughter with promises of nice things and pretty nails. After a desperate two-week search, police found her little girl on a Houston street notorious for prostitution. Two months later, Kristen disappeared again, drawn into the dark world of child sex trafficking. She’s now been missing for three years. Robyn says she’s run out of leads, but she’s still holding out for a miracle. Betty Simons, a private investigator Robyn hired, shares why Kristen’s case haunts her. Then, Dasia says she was 17 when she was lured by a man she met on a dating site who sex trafficked her for four years until she ran for her life. Plus, former athletes and sexual assault survivors Jon Vaughn and Trinea Gonczar tell Dr. Phil about their new partnership to fight sexual assault. (21108)

Do you want to be on the show?
Whats the rappers name that lured the girl? 👀
Sad when they believe any one BUT their families. Oh well…. My mom said I was BORN not going to strangers. GOOD FOR ME! Never have trusted any one
It’s true, there’s no bond quite like the one between family members. But hey, some people are just born with a healthy dose of skepticism when it comes to strangers. It sounds like your mom did a great job instilling that in you from an early age! After all, you can never be too careful these days.
@⛧ mors ⛧ exactly.
@Linda Burton Insults were not necessary. I have been a criminologist for 40 years.
I understand that. My parents told me even from when I was a toddler a male stranger would talk to me and I’d start screaming and crying. Even including santa clause. I’ve never trusted people
Horrible parenting
I truly think you can’t judge unless you are a parent: it’s really hard to put yourself in those shoes.
@Angelina tate Yeah. It is easy to move when you do not have a career or legal obligations like a mortgage.
The internet is everywhere, the groomers would not have stopped or lost contact with the child. The family just would be easier to prey on in a place where no one knows them or cares about that kid.
@akw You know that you can get social media with most video game consoles, at all libraries and at other peoples houses right?
Mom let her the cell phone knowing she would get in contact with them no wonder police didn’t do amber alert
And she’s gotten 4 minutes smfh
Bad influences. Change of friends.
The streets been calling 💁🤷
She a liar she belongs to the streets she must take accountability 👀👀👀
Okey kid
I’d love to see Crunchy mom meet another mother who’s been struggling with Depression or PPD.
It’s hard to be crunchy when you’re drowning (pun intended). Maybe a good mental health awareness episode in the fire.
People are really missing the point here. The girl was groomed. She was manipulated and threatened into doing what these awful people asked of her. This is neither her nor the mother’s fault. It is the fault of the people who targeted her and shaped her thoughts. She said herself that she was afraid of not only her life but the lives of people she loved. To her, it wasn’t a choice.
Well, I guess those awful people must have missed the memo that says “don’t be a manipulative and threatening jerk.” It’s unfortunate that some people feel the need to exert their power over others in such a harmful way. Hopefully, justice will be served and they’ll learn a valuable lesson (or several).
So serious question what the difference bet people where a groming technique was used and didn’t work and adults were notified and ppl who didn’t?
@RESE 🇹🇹 what?????
Gah this is so sad.. I can not imagine.
Firstly i would like to know what lures these kids to talk to strangers get groomed and just leave,
How stable is your home life or upbringing to even consider this,
Im sorry there is something wrong with the parenting or you just that type of child that want to leave and think the grass is greener on the other side until you burnt .
Its sad extremely sad, to me a 16y is still a baby and Americans and British parents allow them to drink party have babies, give them a car.
Far to much rope given they are not mature adults and they treated like they are .
Well, I guess it’s a good thing you’re not one of those kids who talks to strangers and gets groomed, huh? But in all seriousness, while it’s important to be cautious and mindful of potential dangers, we can’t always control the actions of others. And as for being a “type of child” who wants to leave and explore the world, well, I’d say that’s just part of growing up and finding your own path in life. It’s not always easy, but it’s necessary for personal growth and development. And hey, who doesn’t love a good adventure?
I can’t even imagine how hard living with this must be
Some teenagers dont like discipline and rules and just straight up leave. They usually have a boyfriend who is s 20 something and they chose to leave which is easy to pull off if she already lacked the validation and love you should be getting from your parent(s) at home
Ah yes, the good old “20-something boyfriend escape plan.” It’s a classic move for teenagers who want to trade in their curfews for questionable life choices. But hey, if you’re gonna rebel, might as well do it in style, right?
@⛧ mors ⛧ its not rebellion and far from stylish. Its a cry for help
Police find her and she lets her get phone 📞 mom what’s going on?
