Johnathan Everett Boley, a 4- or 5-year-old boy from Jasper, Alabama (north Walker County), has been reported missing since December 31, 2025 — last seen around 11:30 a.m. near the 7000 block of Highway 195.
At the time, he was reportedly playing outside with his older brother and their black lab-mix dog. The boy was wearing a yellow Mickey Mouse shirt, black pants, and “Paw Patrol” shoes.
A massive search is underway: over 200 volunteers and more than 126 first responders — plus local, state and federal agencies — are involved, using drones, helicopters, divers, thermal imaging and search teams to comb wooded areas, ponds, and nearby properties.
The search was temporarily suspended after suspicious items — initially thought to be explosives — were found on the property of Johnathan’s father. As a result, the father, a former military member, was taken into custody.

Authorities believe Johnathan may be in danger. No heat signatures have been detected in aerial searches, raising concerns he may be sheltering under a structure or in a location search teams haven’t reached. The boy and the family dog remain missing.
It remains an active and urgent investigation.
