The Škoda Slavia has been facelifted, but Škoda has not reinvented it.
The platform, proportions and engines remain unchanged. Instead, Škoda has focused on the things that actually matter when you live with the car.
The biggest update is hidden underneath: the 1.0 TSI automatic now gets an all-new 8-speed torque-converter gearbox, while the 1.5 TSI continues with its 7-speed DSG.
Then there are the visible and less obvious changes including new LED lighting, new alloy wheels, a 360-degree camera, upgraded digital displays, a larger infotainment screen, AI Assistant, electrically adjustable front seats and even a rear-seat massage function.
There’s also a new Classic+ variant, more features lower down the range, and a 4-year warranty, 4 years of roadside assistance and 4 free services.
So is this a genuinely better Slavia, or just a facelift with a longer list of features?
