Thirty-three British tourists are reportedly missing after devastating flash floods struck near the border between Nepal and China.
Footage shown captured people running from a fast-moving wall of water as vehicles and buildings are overwhelmed. Political commentator Candice Holdsworth describes the scenes as terrifying, while former Green Party deputy leader Shahrar Ali says greater protection is needed against extreme weather events.
The Prime Minister is quoted as describing the scenes as “devastating” and pledging government support for British nationals in Nepal.
