Episode Title: MS-00384 – Winter Silence in Texas
Case Overview
Unresolved disappearance of Rachel Louise Cooke. Born on May 10, 1982, in Georgetown, Texas, Rachel was a vibrant 19-year-old college student attending San Diego Mesa College in California. Known for her disciplined lifestyle and passion for fitness, she was a loving daughter and sister who had returned home to Texas for winter break.
Tragically, on January 10, 2002, while out for a routine four-mile run near her family’s home in the Northlake Subdivision of Georgetown, Texas, Rachel vanished without a trace. Standing 5’3″, weighing 115 pounds, with blue/hazel eyes and blonde hair with high/low lights, she was last seen wearing a gray running outfit, a green sports bra, Asics running shoes, and a yellow Walkman on her arm. Distinctive features noted by investigators include two heart-shaped cherry tattoos on her left shoulder, a black star tattoo on her left foot, multiple ear piercings, and a naval piercing.
Over the years, agencies like the FBI’s San Antonio Field Office and the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office have continued pushing for answers through digital billboards, composite sketches, and public appeals.
If you have any information concerning Rachel’s whereabouts, please contact the FBI Toll-Free Tip Line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov, or reach out to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office at 512-943-1300 and Crime Stoppers at 1-800-253-STOP.
