The Nepal Tourism Board has now confirmed that there are six South Africans who are unaccounted for, after catastrophic flash floods swept through parts of Nepal and Tibet.
Nearly 1 500 people, including almost 800 foreigners, are missing.
At least 165 people are feared dead, with Nepalese police warning the toll could rise as rescuers recover more bodies.
Helicopters are dropping food and emergency supplies to thousands cut off by the floods, while more than 5 000 soldiers and police are involved in the rescue effort.
