Retinal has some of the strongest evidence behind it for ageing skin — so why, at 68, am I now reaching for copper peptides far more often?
For a long time, retinal was part of my evening routine every night. But The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% has gradually taken over — not because retinal stopped working, but because I simply love how my skin looks and feels when I use copper peptides.
In this film, I’m looking at what each can realistically do for mature skin, how the evidence differs, whether we really have to choose between them, and why I’ve settled on roughly five nights of copper peptides and two nights of retinal — without turning my skincare into a rigid timetable.
