More than 7,000 officers are being deployed for the 60th Notting Hill Carnival after police imposed bail conditions preventing over 330 people from attending and seized 76 zombie knives, 30 flick knives and a machete ahead of the event. Critics want the carnival moved from residential streets to a controlled location such as Hyde Park, citing crime, crowd safety, pressure on police and £4.66 million of additional City Hall funding.
