Jalonni Blackshear murder case, Alaska true crime, Raechyl Blackshear, and the disappearance and murders of a mother and her 14-year-old daughter.
In March 2022, J.B., a 14-year-old girl, reported that she had been sexually abused. According to Alaska authorities, her father, Jalonni Blackshear, became the primary suspect.
Authorities say Blackshear convinced his wife, Raechyl, to take their daughter to the Anchorage Police Department to recant her report. April 3, 2022, was the last day law enforcement saw Raechyl and J.B.
Blackshear subsequently left Alaska. Investigators later determined that he had used the phones and digital accounts of his wife and daughter to make it appear that they were still communicating with family members.
On April 15, police went to the Blackshear residence after Raechyl failed to appear for a medical appointment. Both Raechyl and J.B. were found deceased.
Blackshear was eventually apprehended in New York. In January 2026, he pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for Raechyl’s death and second-degree murder for J.B.’s death. He agreed to consecutive 75-year sentences.
On June 2, 2026, an Anchorage judge sentenced him to 150 years to serve.
