I believe prayer begins with understanding who I am in Christ. When Jesus taught the disciples to pray, He began with “Father,” because before anything else comes identity. Through Christ, I am not an outsider trying to reach God. I have been brought near, made righteous in Him, adopted as a son, and made one with Him. Faith begins with believing these truths, even when wounds, rejection, shame, failure, or religion have taught me something different. Healing is therefore connected to faith because the Holy Spirit helps replace those false beliefs with the truth of who I already am in Christ.
I believe that as my identity becomes secure, fear, condemnation, comparison, and rejection begin to lose their power. I do not pray to become a son, to make God love me, or to somehow create unity with Him. I pray because I am already a son, already loved, already righteous in Christ, and already brought into union with Him. Healing restores my ability to believe, faith allows me to receive what Christ has accomplished, and that security allows me to live in greater unity with others and pray with greater confidence and authority.
In prayer, I have also been seeing a repeated message of rest, patience, and trusting God’s timing regarding the financial things I believe He has shown me. I saw Shiba Inu pictured as a bloodhound relentlessly seeking its target, coins being gathered as Israel passed through the Red Sea, and the ark leading into a new landscape of abundance and expanding structures. I also saw myself like a five-year-old sitting with Jesus in complete stillness, while He showed me not to rush ahead from one opportunity to another. I saw around twenty pegs representing cryptocurrencies connected to a future financial system, including XDC, XRP, LUNC, USTC, Shiba Inu, and XLM. The central message I received was not to operate from fear of missing something, but to rest.
