Money kept disappearing from a Wyoming business, and the owner decided she needed proof.
She marked bills, recorded serial numbers, tracked register activity, and contacted police after suspecting an employee was taking cash. When officers arrived, the employee initially thought they were there about something else.
Then police explained the real reason for the conversation.
The employee admitted taking money that day and said she had taken smaller amounts before. Officers recovered cash from her bag and later placed her under arrest for theft.
According to records, the documented losses exceeded $22,000 and the case later resulted in probation and restitution. Those later court details are not verified by the bodycam footage itself.
