Your Romance Scenes Aren’t Working (Here’s the Method That Fixes It)

Your romance Scenes go flat in the middle because all three Plots aren’t on the page. Here’s an easy, color-coded way to weave them together.

This is the Scene-level follow-up to How Romance Novel Plots ACTUALLY Work. That video showed you the three Plots. This one puts them on a single page, about a third of the way through the book, where most romance drafts stall. I mark up a real Scene from my own novel with the Highlighter Method so you can see External Conflict, Internal Conflict, the Romance Plot, the Bonding Moment, and the tiny beats of growth–and then use that to quickly spot the gaps on your own pages.

What you’ll learn:
– Why a romance Scene needs layered Conflict, not one problem
– How the Romance Plot throws a monkey wrench into the External and Internal Plots
– The Hope-and-Despair rhythm that keeps a Scene from going soft
– What a real Bonding Moment is (authentic, vulnerable, open) and where writers skip it
– How to end the scene on “yes, but” or “no, and furthermore”

Works if you’re writing a full romance or simply a romance subplot inside another genre.
