Four months ago I lost my job as a game developer. So I did the stupid thing. I’m building my own game. No publisher, no salary, a kid, bills to pay… and it’s the most exciting thing I’ve ever done.
This is my story, from making 100 Call of Duty Zombies maps to going full time on Friendslop Extraction; a co-op zombie extraction shooter and one of the most customisable games out there. The trailer is at the end!

I’m Ice Grenade – a level designer and modder. Over the years I’ve made 100 Black Ops 3 Zombies maps with 3.75 million Steam Workshop subscriptions, played by creators like VanossGaming, SMii7Y, Syndicate, NoahJ456, M3RKMUS1C and YouAlwaysWin, and I’ve done commissions for the Sidemen.
