Nearly a year passed before his disappearance made headlines.
In Episode 4 of Miami Mystery: The Disappearance of Olavi Hendrickson, host Dana Dean examines the mystery surrounding her grandfather’s disappearance, including a 1963 Miami Herald article, accounts of threats against him and a handwritten letter mailed from Jacksonville, Florida, just two days after he vanished.
The letter was addressed to Olavi’s fifteen-year-old son. But he wouldn’t receive it until twenty years later.
Why did his mother keep it from him for so long? And does the letter really explain what happened to Olavi?
