After 15 years, we have FINALLY gotten our first ever official image of what the cut Paris Zombies map looked like in Black Ops 1 Zombies courtesy of the upcoming Black Ops Zombies Art of Treyarch Book. This began as a rumor back in the day but multiple Treyarch developers have confirmed that the final DLC map was originally set in Paris before becoming Moon. According to former Zombies producer Reza Elghazi, the Paris map wasn’t originally a Black Ops idea but it was intended for the cancelled fourth World at War DLC before development carried into Black Ops. In 2017 Jason Blundell explained what the Paris version of the map looked like and how it functioned. In 2026, Treyarch has officially revealed artwork of the concept for the Catacomb Tunnels in Paris before it was reworked into the Tunnels of the Moon Base.
