CASE DETAILS
Samantha came home from work in Russelville, Arkansas and told her mother that she, her 22-month-old daughter Courtney Holt, and a friend (Selena) were going to a concert in Little Rock, Arkansas, and would be back on September 12.

Turns out, there was no concert, and Selena was not going for the real story is that Samantha had a boyfriend in West Memphis that mom (Debbie) did not approve of.

Samantha dropped Dezarae off an hour earlier at her mother's home, leaving in a blue 1989 Ford Tempo with 22-month-old Courtney Holt, never been heard from again.

We had few other details until meeting up with Selena, Debbie, and Dezarae on the morning of October 26th, 2021.

AWP then breaks down a search area looking at the most likely access points into the water near the last known routes and locations.

Jared and Doug begin their search off of Mill Creek Road, and send Jacob Grubbs and his team over to Pleasant View Road to search under 2 bridges.

In less than 60-minutes on the water using sonar, Jacob identified a vehicle underwater under the West Bridge on Pleasant View Road

Upon diving on the vehicle, it was confirmed to be a blue Ford Tempo.

The Pope Country Sheriff, Dive Team, Elmo's Crane Service, and all others involved deserving recognition for their delicate handling and recovery of Courtney, Samantha, and her unborn baby.

We are humbled by the opportunity all of you have given us to help in the search for answers as to what happened to Samantha and her babies.

Hug the ones you love for you never know when it might be the last time you see them.

  1. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication in finding my mom, sister, and baby. You have given me the chance to have peace and the answers I never thought I would have.

    1. @Adventures with Purpose Thank you Adventures with Purpose for everything you do to help find missing loved ones. God bless each and everyone of you.🙏❤🙏

    2. I am beyond sorry for your loss i know how it feels even tho i cant donate to the memorial i bless your family and you god bless you <3

    3. @Adventures with Purpose you handle the situation with such respect and care for the families. I’ve always watched content on missing people cold cases because I feel it’s as if the door should never be closed on there case, and I always have the hope for the families. To have discovered AWP and see all the people you have found is mind-blowing. The worst thing about these cases is when I hear the parent/parents/children have passed away never knowing what happened to their child/parent. To see Samantha Hoppers Mum and Daughter finally have the truth of what happened made me cry tears of joy and sadness at the same time. Samantha’s Mum and Daughter seemed like such lovely people and I’m glad they had each other all these years. I’ve got my Mum watching your channel now and I’m definitely going to donate 😭
Please don’t ever change AWP , you are the 💣. Best wishes from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 x

  2. Dude, you arent’ only finding the missing, you are healing the broken hearted by giving them the closure that their soul requires. Kudos brother.

    1. @Wondrous_Unicorn
Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ is true love for people because they can be set free and healed just like I was. You can’t love people if you don’t have the love of God living in you. The ” love” you talking about is worldly and selfish just like the comment you send me it’s not based on the love of God. Your faith in Christ is false you don’t know the heart of the Lord and you did come against the gospel of Jesus. So I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ and turn away from you as a sign to you that you are not a true follower of Christ. Please repent from your sins and find true faith in God or you will perish and spend eternity in hell.

    2. For me, I think of the terms “resolution” and “answers,” along with the word closure. I think they all have their place and application in this mysterious trajectory we call grief.

  3. I don’t understand how this guy can help so many family’s and not even the police can? These people are amazing 💜

    1. Hey you were right to say that but please really do help and sometimes I do help family and you can’t disrespect that

    2. @Salty Siren I agree smh. It’s really sad.. they get so much praise and do so little. I’m glad these videos show how these guys can literally do their job in a day or less!

    3. The amount of cases they have and not only that but its been mentioned a lot that there’s a lot of red tape regarding recoveries. Health and safety, cost etc.

  4. Omg that was heartbreaking! When her family said she was afraid of the water, I could only imagine her terror when her car sank which would have been made a hundred times worse knowing her babies were trapped too. RIP Samantha and your two little angels. This was beyond tragic!

    1. Let’s hope they didn’t suffer and died on impact, but that being said nobody noticed damage to the guardrail/ retaining wall on the bridge???? Did someone cross lanes and cause this? Was she ran off the road on purpose? So many questions

    2. @P J I agree with you and in any other context I’d argue your case, but this is really not the situation to spout your beliefs 😬 So very inappropriate.

    3. @P J if you think an 8 month unborn child is not a baby, you’re delusional. Babies are born and survive at that stage of pregnancy quite often. This is not a philosophical “when does life begin” debate. This child was a baby, period.

    4. @P J You clearly don’t know much about pre-born children. That “fetus” was a fully formed human child capable of living outside the womb. That’s a bit discriminative and callous of you to assume that pre-born child was anything less than a child loved by his/her family and grieved by his/her family. A pre-born child doesn’t magically become a babyin the birth canal. I should know, I’ve conceived, carried, and birthed 3 little humans. Every single one of my girls were just as human and real inside the womb as they were outside. Btw, “fetus” is just another term for a child. It’s merely a name for a stage of human development. Like adolescent is a stage.

  5. I have a two year old daughter and I am sobbing thinking about their last moments trapped in that car. My angst is relieved by knowing that her other baby was safe and her family has the closure you provided. Thank you for what you do, it is incredible and powerful.

  6. That must be so heart breaking and traumatic to find children, anyone actually, but it has to take a certain person to be able to handle that kind of work. Kudos guys! You are todays Superhero’s!

  7. How does law enforcement walk up to a family and give their condolences after 23 years of not going off leads from the family?? This crew found them in a day. Unbelievable. Great job by the crew that made this possible for their family to have closure & healing.

    1. They just don’t want to spend money,No one cares now a days all genocide most times, they alleork together

    2. To be fair this type of recovery work has only become an art form since Jared, Sam, and Doug made it one. The science of where the best places to look is still in devolopement with every AWP video recovery that happens.

    3. ELmo’s has some great equipment & professional crewmen . This was a nail bitter , I was praying the car would hold together in the air . Great work & credit to all , & now the family can put her & the children to rest .

  8. You guys are definitely living out your life’s purpose. So rewarding (maybe not the right words) to be able to give families closure for their loved ones.

  9. When Doug said “we’ve found Samantha and her babies” I broke down :'( I’m happy they have answers and they can lay them to rest properly, thank you AWP ❤️ R.I.P Samantha, Courtney and baby ❤️

  10. I love how well everyone worked together to get this momma and her babies out. Everyone was there with the same goal in mind. It made me so mad seeing one of the previous episodes where the responding officer was incredibly disrespectful and defensive.

May they all 3 Rest In Peace. ❤️

    1. Yes! I was thinking exactly the same thing – you can see the difference it makes when law enforcement and the other dive team came in to all work together with AWP for the common cause.- and so they should – it closes the case for the police – helps them , and most importantly brings closure and relief for the family of their missing loved ones. This is how it should be ! Great Job AWP!

    2. Way better than some cops treat them! These cops realized the crew are very experienced and knowledgeable let’s take the helping hand who cares about credit at that point

  11. Hard to believe that authorities don’t question broken guardrails. That’s just crazy! If they did maybe missing loved one would be found immediately instead of families waiting 20 years wondering what happened to their loved ones. Especially babies! Thank you so much for caring! ❤️

    1. “The authorities” would never hear about broken guardrails. Your local public works probably is responsible for fixing them, and I wouldn’t hold my breath on most of them stringing 3 brain cells together. Additionally, it doesn’t take much for a car to skip the rails, or for another accident to hit them, and you assume that’s the cause. Law Enforcement is not what you see on TV. Most counties don’t have dive units, let alone the large budgets, or even the hours allowed to investigate something that had no leads, and was not a crime.

    2. @Amanda Kristine , I’m sad to read this comment made by you. I am “an authority” with a municipal government. In fact I’m a City Manager. You are right about the budget constraints but dead wrong on your assessment of the public works departments and “their duties & functions”. Those employees are hard working individuals with many brain cells and the majority of them care and assess damage to roads and guardrails if reported. This case was obviously not reported. In rural areas, it is very common for things to be ignored, but not for 20 years. The authorities know. My guess is that it was reported by the PW’s department and ignored by the city council during budget workshops. For you to make a statement that they only have “3 brain cells” was not called for. They are civil servant’s that work very hard and are very underpaid but they are caring individuals. They should be appreciated more but this is the common feeling among residents that just take for granted what you precieve as actual. You, and all people like you need to go out there and see exactly what the PW’s department does and what is going on or being ignored in your city, and then sit in budget workshops or council meetings. The problem is not staff. It’s the council. They have the same mentality you do sadly about staff because they are clueless to the overwhelming amounts of problems their departments have with no money budgeted to fix things. I think the PW’s department is the hardest working group of people there are working for a government entity, whether it be, city, county, state or federal. And they have brains, braun and a huge heart. God bless them!

  12. God bless you for this work! I can’t even imagine the pain of not knowing, followed by the bittersweet relief of finally having an answer. You are true heroes, and I thank you for sharing your stories.

  13. The amount of thought that goes into recovering a vehicle and keeping it intact is astounding. Great job.

  14. How utterly respectful to make sure you get all the belongings no matter if they are ruined after being in the water, i just think the work you do is amazing and must bring so much closure to the families you have helped. So sad watching but utterly amazing work which must be very traumatic for you too.

  15. I am obsessed with this channel – I don‘t think I have ever seen anything this great. It is unbelievable, loving, kind, skilled, professional work you are doing. I wish there were more people like you. Thank you thank you thank you.

  16. Mad respect to you guys for what you do! It’s incredible! The thought of spending one day not knowing where my daughter is or what happened to her makes me extremely sick to my stomach! So I can’t imagine spending decades with that overwhelmingly dismal empty void! You boys are changing people’s lives for the better and finally giving them the answers they’ve needed for so long! I run a very busy crematory in Ohio and see daily the sorrow that death brings to so many lives! But the only thing worse would be knowing something bad happened but NEVER truly knowing what it was! Thank you so much for the heartwarming stories that you share, with the best and final chapters that you write for these desperate families that need your help! My Prayers and condolences to all of these people who have lost someone! Have a merry Christmas and ESPECIALLY a new year with the closure to heal and move on! God Bless!❤️❤️❤️

  17. I’ve watched almost every one of your videos and this one absolutely broke my heart. Thank you for all you do.

  18. When Jared took out the shoe I just lost it and started crying. I am so happy for this family that they have closure and they know where their daughter, mother and sister are at. Thank you Jared and AWP for finding Samantha. You have done so much for so many families and I hope you continue to help families with missing family members. ❤❤❤

  19. Jared, you and your team are amazing. Such empathy. You know the right words to say at all times. You’re an amazing man.
